Originally as R.A.Chilton, our cones were jointly developed in the early 1990s for use in the Turner Scientific SOLA. Since then, our design and manufacture techniques have been adopted by a number of major instrument manufacturers – to whom we still continue to be OEM supplier.
During 1999, we embarked on a major development programme that has enabled us to introduce a range of cones suitable for many of the popular instruments.
In the Spring of 2002, R.A.Chilton evolved into R.A.Chilton ICPMS Cones Ltd. This change was seemless and saw the new business focus exclusively on the design and production of cones for ICPMS.Since 2002, cone production and sales have more than doubled with a selected number of distributors now selling our cones worldwide.
Over the years we have formed close links with instrument manufacturers with whom we work in the continuing development of their cones. Other than the basic cost of a cone we do not charge for development work.
